The boundaries between the concrete (filmed live action) and the inwardly emotional (mixed technique animation) become permeable in this work set during a road trip and a final destination. The intent of this abstract work is to create a visual and sonic experience that resonates on the more visceral level that is connected with desire, passion and urgency. The visuals of the work combine digital live action filming with animation in the form of moving mattes, cut outs, objects, and direct-on-film painting and etching techniques. The music is a computer score that combines both altered real sounds, electronics, and voice.
