In Difference, is a story about Benjamin Baron, a Jewish Canadian writer who visited Pakistan before 2001. Ten years later, the memory of the trip to the hinterlands of Pakistan, now a hot zone for conflict and war, has challenged Ben personally. This crisis comes out in his writing. Unable to find his 'voice', Ben has a chance meeting with Omer, a Pashtun-Muslim in the building elevator of his office. Omer, prophetic and a mystic, agrees to help Ben, and imagine a dialogue with his 'enemy'.
