FBI agents are giving Nick drugs, in order to recollect his memory of the murder he has been accused of. An interrogation is underway for the truth of the murder, little do the FBI agents know, Nick is placating the interrogation by pretending he is forgetting his memory to keep himself from going to jail. Liza is the female interrogator interviewing Nick, where she has decided to dress the part of the young victim to elicit Nick's memories. But toward the end of the film, Liza believes that her tactic might have been too forced and ultimately a waste of time and efforts. She decides to go back to plan A and begins the interrogation from the beginning. The interrogation seems to be running the same as before when Nick accidentally mentions Liza's name. Which Liza figures out that Nick has been playing the FBI throughout the whole investigation.
