The Glimmering Light

During the winter of 1999 in China, Ying's mother disappears, leaving the seven-year-old to care for herself. Ying's neighbor, May, sympathizes with her circumstances and brings Ying home to look after her. Not long after, May discovers that she had caused the loss of Ying's mother. Their lives change following this revelation, but in Ying's heart, she will never forget the compassionate May.
