The documentary is about loneliness and alienation. The film characters are people who, for various reasons, have transferred their feelings onto animals. A widower, a betrayed wife and a childless woman are among them. Various motivation, similar reasons: disappointment, hurt, a need of unconditional acceptance. Can they replace relationships with people in this way?
