The Mirage Complex is an exploration of the subjective experience of someone who has lost insight and plunged to the depths of a manic psychotic episode. The film uses mixed-media and stop-motion animation to immerse the viewer in the protagonist's lived reality. All elements of the animated portions of the film were hand crafted, including the puppets, miniature sets and props.
