My Fellow Americans

🎞️ Movie 7 min --
2014

An American President addresses the nation about the impending WWIII while he reflects on the country's past, as well as his own. He surveys the surprisingly similar circumstances that Franklin D. Roosevelt faced during his presidency and the preparation for WWII. Throughout his subsequent press conference, the president highlights these parallels while juxtaposing contemporary issues in an undeniable comparison. The president alludes back to his own experience as a child with bullies and ultimately war. These flashbacks synthesize with the speech in moments of oppression, violence, and the destruction of nature. The speech concludes with the president delivering a prayer for his past, as well as the nation's future, in which he urges mankind to come together as one singular race and to forget about the barriers that divide us.
