Houses and architecture are the world we build for ourselves, and the external bodies we live within. They give an impression of longevity and stasis, creating an apparent disconnect between them and us, as we shift and change our personal and communal identities so quickly. Yet even as a structure begins to 'show its age' that appearance is not only a reflection of the tastes and sensibilities of when it was first created, but also an ongoing record of our interactions with our environment.
