1957. Night has fallen over Nanterre. While war is raging in their native country, a group of Algerian immigrants are gathered in a hut of the slum they live in to play cards. During the game, they talk about their motherland, about the war, about the independence to come... Outside, the atmosphere is tense. When it is not the French policemen who patrol it is their 'brothers' who execute a traitor. A traitor really?
