In the crumbling heart of rust belt New York, deep into winter, Lux returns to the house of his estranged father as he desperately seeks closure for a troubled previous relationship. His attempts at reconciliation are fumbling and misunderstood by the girl he chases, and his reckless actions are condemned by his father. As Lux struggles to put right his life, all three characters find aspects of themselves reflected in the Burden Iron Works - once a prosperous factory and the life blood of the town, now a dilapidated, polluted, but transfixing ruin.
