Ken Fucks Up: The Trilogy

Halifax filmmakers Ruby Boutilier and Sarah Byrne have taken your childhood toys and made a very naughty trio of short films. When Ken buys Barbie a toaster for Christmas, things go bad and then get very strange. Despite his best efforts to win her back,which includes buying her sex toys as a make up gift, Ken fails to regain Barbie's affections, and he quickly reaches a porn-addicted, drunken rock bottom. Meanwhile, Barbie rebounds with several plastic love affairs only to become tabloid fodder when she's pregnant with the baby of an unknown baby-daddy. Ken Fucks Up is an indictment of our celebrity addicted culture and the vapid, self-obsessed monsters it creates, but mostly it's really fun.
