We are quick to reference the fluency and skill with which poetry and dance can impart meaning, yet their traditional forms and roles have become marginalized when it comes to modern storytelling and communication. As poets and dancers, we can cling to outdated tradition, we can sacrifice the quality of work for the sake of mass appeal, or we can embrace the constant evolution of communication and utilize our history and background in these fields to elevate them to new dimensions. River Memories is a poem, a dance, and a film that explores these new dimensions and their possibilities.
