What remains is the story of humanity's survival after a fungal infection all but wipes out the human race. The outbreak is the earth's defense against an organism which threatens it: Humanity. This story asks the question, for what reason would you cling to your humanity if humanity's time has passed? The story follows Alex and David as they search for Alex's brother who has developed a natural resistance to the fungus.
