This dark comedy follows Pierre, an obsessed candy maker from France, trying to make his business a success in New York during the Great Depression. His ever-suffering wife, Cécile, wants nothing more than to return to her home in Paris. In a last ditch effort to salvage his store and avoid bankruptcy, Pierre decides to formulate a new confection--but will it be enough to save his dream?
