Set in East London, Chen an elderly widowed Father and his son, Tian, carry the scars of their past from the death of Tian's Mother who died from cancer. Tian blames his Father for not taking care of her and instead burying himself in his Chinese restaurant. Chen arrives at his son's house and to his surprise discovers that his son's partner Andrea, is pregnant. Now that he is about to become a Grandfather Chen has to heal their relationship if he is going to be part of his son's new family but old wounds open forcing Andrea to offer Chen a choice: either he tries to get on with Tian or he leaves.
