Frank, a young musician, has big dreams of becoming a worldly known pianist and composer. However, while at home he begin to doubt himself and his place in the world with music. He recognizes the fact that music is such a different strain of labour that the margin for success and livelihood are very slim. His father on the other hand acts as Franks conscience. At its end, Frank is transported to a stage where he is welcomed with applause as he is just about to sit at his piano and play. It is unclear though, is this reality, or just apart of Franks grand dream?
