Since we were young, we have been told this story: our Great-Grand-Father got kill in the deep forest of the north while he was guiding 2 french fur traders. His body, found on a frozen lake the following spring, was chopped in pieces by a knife and an ax and body parts were missing. Apparently, his murder inspired the characters of the most successful novel in french literature: Maria Chapdelaine de Louis Hemon.
