After discovering the death of his newborn child, Kharti, a foreign laborer in Singapore reaches a turning point in his life when he witnesses the suicide of a young teenage boy. The film seeks to address a perspective that is uncommon, yet at the same time prevalent amongst most Singaporeans. In recent times, there has been a rise of xenophobia in Singapore, that is namely targeted towards laborers from less developed countries. Kharti, the lead in the film, is a laborer from Kerala, India. He is plagued by a life-changing familial issue whilst helpless in a foreign land. The film aims to humanise the people us Singaporeans see as monsters. through a brief narrative.
