Sometimes our only way of dealing with the tough times is to escape. For Akeema, a young high school student struggling with neglect, bullying and constant drama at home, art has become more than an escape mechanism; it's become her voice. But a voice unheard doesn't have the same power as one heard, and Akeem's art teacher, Ms. Frances, hopes to show everyone in Akeem's life it's a voice worth hearing.
