Kendra has recently come out as a lesbian at work and her reward is being fired after being accused of sexual harassment by a female co-worker. Feeling her life breaking down, Kendra is thrown into further disarray when Bekah comes running through her front door to hide from her abusive boyfriend. Thrown together by chance the women bond and share their life struggles but find their touching connection quickly stilted when Bekah's boyfriend makes his arrival. A new friendship is pushed to its limits and becomes something so much more when the two women must band together to protect themselves from the boyfriend, who will go to any lengths to take Bekah away.
