A sinister and mysterious tale full of conspiracies and prejudice The Scapegoat is a short animated film based on one of the greatest criminal cases in Victorian history. Set at the turn of the 20th century it follows George Edalji, a young man whose life is thrown into turmoil after a series of disturbing events lead him to be accused of a ruthless crime. In an attempt to unravel the mystery he finds himself in George appeals to Britain's most famous detective writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and as Arthur embarks on a passionate campaign to clear George's name it seems to the rest of the watching world, as though Sherlock Holmes has come to life.
