Evan and Jon are aspiring film students fed up with the difficulty of getting noticed. After Evan goes through a break up, he and Jon plan a scheme to win his girlfriend back and go viral. Evan will fake cutting off his finger to send to his ex in a romantically tragic video diary. The situation complicates as they discover how difficult their plan will be to accomplish. Tension between them hits a boiling point when Jon suggests that Evan should cut his finger off for real.
