The story takes place in 1760 and dramatizes the ethnic scandal, sexual perversion and family dysfunction at Germany's Mirow Palace and England's St.. James Palace as Princess Charlotte Sophia is forced to hide her mulatto skin color under heavy white Elizabethan make-up by her mother, Duchess Elizabeth Frederick before her arranged marriage to King George III.
