Bull in the Ring

A gang member in the late 70s struggles with living a double life between following his dream of playing football and staying alive in the hood. RUBEN LUJAN, the next principal at the gang ridden Santa Ana High School, flashes back to the 70s when he was a member of the most dangerous Mexican gang, FxTroop. Ruben is beat half to death through initiation and then is the underling of his evil older brother, MANUEL. To protect the hood, drug deals, drive by, and parties, are the mission of FxTroop, which means, 'F The Rest'. DANNY, a young varsity wrestler and football player, insults Manuel and the hood. Ruben is sent out to avenge Manuel, but Ruben is not up to the task and the situation escalates until Danny is beat and honor is restored. Danny eventually befriends Ruben with the promise to teach Ruben how to wrestle, which is against COACH ROCKY'S will. Danny, Ruben and Eddy, Danny's crazy friend, share adventures in robbing a bank and hitting a friend's house that leads to a wild police chase. Ruben lives a double life, working out with Danny by day and gang bang'n by night. Ruben must someday eventually stand up to Manuel if he ever wants to follow his dream of playing football. BOBBY, Danny's older brother streaks naked through the middle of school with his girl friend that starts a domino effect of events that leads to a race riot and the dawning of the white flight out of Santa Ana. Ruben must choose life or death, good or evil. Danny's and his life depend on it.
