Tom is lying in the middle of an empty sidewalk. His eyebrow ridge is bleeding. Suddenly, he is noticed by Chloe. She is dressed in a blood-red evening gown and stilettos. She runs up to the man and helps him to get up. She asks Tom if he is all right and he answers that he has just been mugged. He lost his wallet and his phone. He is a writer and he came from LA to participate in his new book launch, which most likely is a bestseller. His agent and his assistant went back to California the previous day, as he decided to stay in New York for a while. Chloe says that she will help him.
