Charlie and his sister Iris have a troubled mother and a narcissistic father. Father Jaap drives his family insane with his high demands and pretentious stories. Charlie feels he needs to put on a mask whenever he faces other people. He can't be himself because he isn't perfect enough in his fathers eyes. Charlie tries to be someone else. When his parents are fighting again and Charlie is being shouted at, he escapes reality to discover the relations within the family. Charlie discovers there is no end to his play. Therefore he decides to take care of his sister and make the best of it.
