In the early 60's, four 18-year old young women made headlines in Greece by running away to join a convent. Not interested in praying all day, they started a shelter, providing a family for abandoned and abused children. Without help from church or state, these four accidental feminists continue to mother infants without wearing a wedding band, but now their biggest enemy isn't social conventions--it's their arthritis and the lingering credit crunch.
