Angela Gordon enjoys inhabiting the pixel skin of a virtual avatar, making friends, having relationships and enjoying the company of strangers. One evening, she finds that her friend, known only as David, has come under the control of a threatening individual claiming to have taken the real David hostage. Shot in real time, Angela must answer five questions about David or the Stalker will kill him. The film asks the viewer if a real tragedy has taken place, or if the girl is the victim of a cruel internet hoax.
