Seven patients escape from Woodhollow Mental Health Center, leaving the whole state intensely looking for these escaped patients. Mack, a twenty-one year old man living with his alcoholic father, comes across the patients in the woods and quickly realizes that he and they have many similarities. Mack offers them help and leaves his troubled home life to live with the patients in an abandoned building.
