UNSCENE is a collaborative film and site-specific installation between Shladovsky and filmmaker Sayer Danforth. Based on a mutual desire to capture the visually unseen by creating impromptu experiences within the natural world, In UNSCENE, Shladovsky and Danforth set out on a road trip throughout the Southwest that would capture some of the most unusual and grandest natural environments in the United States. Pairing inconceivable environments with sensory-rich furniture pieces to create unexpected context. What results is a visual journey that challenges perceptions of places and things in a manner both surprising and comforting at once.
