Noranda is a film set during 1973 about a convict named Michael McCrimmon who breaks out of prison returns to his small northern Canadian mining town called Noranda to visit his estranged and broken family. The film was inspired by the Tragically Hip song 38 Years Old which was a fictionalization of a real life prison break.
