The film relates a day in the life of Rose, who is 8 years old and has a very difficult life at home. Her young single mother spends her days looking for a 'fix' rather than properly taking care of her daughter. Rose goes through some soul searching, all the while repeating her mothers mistakes. This film, inspired by a true story, explores the powerful connection between mother and daughter, especially the example given by parents to their children and also explores our position as strangers. When is it wise to get involved in a situation that doesn't concern us directly and when is it wise to intervene without breaching others liberties?
