Polly Esther Mermaid was hatched in the middle of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch during a nuclear explosion. She can transport plastic into anything she wants and can teleport herself through her portal potty, the T.U.R.D.I.S. When she learns that her family has forbidden her to go anywhere else in the ocean because she will contaminate the waters, she set out to go to 'where the garbage comes from' to see what she can do to earn the good graces of her family.
