Chronicles of Courage consists of filmed performance, archive, animation and music to represent three contrasting experiences of World War One (WW1). The experiences were sourced and interpreted from three very personal, unique perspectives. Firstly from the letters and beautifully illustrated diaries of a field hospital Red Cross Nurse, Margaret Gregg, receiving wounded soldiers by train from the front line. Secondly from the letters and newspaper articles written by her brother, Arthur Gregg, from the French trenches. And thirdly through the poems of Arthur's fiance, Marian Allen, who wrote Arthur many poems throughout the war and continued to write to him many years after his death.
