The protagonist is traveling to the tsunami-devastated Northeast of Japan. His night bus passes the prefecture of Fukushima, afflicted by the nuclear accident. Dreams and recollections of the days of disaster are blending in his head. Finally the protagonist reaches his destination, the town of Kesennuma, seeing the aftermath of the tsunami with his own eyes.
