Kannadi Bommaigal portrays the life of a young man who moves to Chennai with his newly-married, with the aspiration of becoming an actor. 'The protagonist Guna, a Therukoothu artiste, turns into a lightman when he doesn't find opportunities to act and he ends up working as a light-man for 25 years.
