Dead Man's Party

When a disgruntled Alex arrives at a local Christmas party, it's clear that he has an agenda. This only becomes more apparent once Alex and a 'rent-a-tender' named Patrick begin to trade words. Patrick, weary of his new guest, continues to play along in order to appease the middle-aged gentleman. What are Alex's attentions? And how do they affect his new 'friend'?
