Set in the late 17th Century, The Forests of Cumbria is fictional tale about two Englishmen, who reconnect in a remote part of Northern England. It is here when they run into a mysterious French woman, who doesn't speak English. They soon find out she is being pursued by a rogue band of Spanish mercenaries who initially kidnapped her. Now, the Englishmen have to decide whether to risk their lives and band together with the French woman, in order to defeat the Spaniards, or to simply turn their heads and leave her to die.
