River's Journey tells the story of the rise, fall and rise again of the Whippany River in Morris Co. New Jersey -- a river once so polluted by papers mills, chemical plants & raw (human) sewage that it was being treated like a sewer, rather than as a precious natural resource. Led by Hanover, NJ Township's health officer, the community rallied to confront both corporate and neighboring municipal interests -- and took positive action -- to restore the river to it's natural beauty and an asset for the community.
