Ukraine has gone through a major crisis this past year, and many lives have been affected all over the world. 'Broken Soil' is about losing a home. Three Ukrainians: a priest, a college student, and a family man who fled Crimea, all share their perspectives on what it means to be far away from family as they watch their home country go through a major conflict. All three characters talk about how being a part of a community (a Ukrainian Church in Boston) has helped them maintain a sense of security and comfort. 'Broken Soil' is personal, yet exposes the concerns for everyone who has had their homes taken away from them.
