Ella is a Polish immigrant worker, who works in Germany to finance the academic studies of her daughter in Poland. Because of a disease her employment appears to be endangered. When her daughter decides to come to Germany probably facing the same fate as her mother, the mother decides to press a dismissal wage from her employer.
