The-Disaster-that-Shall-Not-Be-Named has hit accident-prone New Orleans, and destroyed one girl's dream of being a famous actress. Sloane Millicent Sharpe arrived home in her native New Orleans with a Master's in Acting, and the cockiness to match, when the disaster struck. Now, to SURVIVE, she is forced to settle for...A TEMP JOB. Within minutes of her arrival at Disaster Initiative Coalition (or DIC) for her temp job, she is promoted to Office Manager, and is given the job of managing the DIC Krewe. Socialwerk follows the antics of a motley krewe of disaster relief social workers, none of whom are really qualified. Their intentions are pure. Their methods are suspect. Their results... inspiring! Sloane finds that she may learn more about acting, and LIFE then she ever thought she could, doing SOCIALWERK.
