Madison is a chubby, freckled 10-year old girl with her head stuck in the clouds and her heart on her sleeve. Despite her larger-than-average size, she has never been given a reason not to believe the compliments her mother gives her every morning. That is, until she is met with the most cruel form of bullying she could ever imagine at the hands of two teenage boys. Irreparable Damage is a deeply emotional piece about the impact of bullying, the loss of innocence, and the role adults play in both the upbringing and the crisis moments of a child's life. It seeks to illustrate that sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you can't protect the ones you love from being hurt or experiencing pain, and that most children tend to determine their self worth by the way they are treated by others.
