A Miscarriage
Hannah is a lady approaching her 50th birthday. As a young girl she was one of the 'Verdingkinder' - children indentured to the farming communities in Switzerland as forced labour. At the age of 14 she was accused and convicted of the murder of the head of the family she was working for and living with. 35 years later the scandal of 'Verdingkinder' is a national shame for the modern day Switzerland. There are conflicting opinions and much media interest. many wrongs. A television reporter is granted permission to interview Hannah in prison. After the interview the reporter is convinced that a great wrong has been done. She pursues the story and discovers evidence which conclusively proves Hannah is innocent. After the conviction is overturned, Hannah's life is turned inside out. Her years of imprisonment leave her scarcely able to cope. A sudden and shocking revelation brings her to the point of no return.
