When the bodies of illegal Latino immigrants appear in the desert on the outskirts of Los Angeles, burned-out homicide detective Alex Chord reluctantly takes on the investigation. As he digs deeper into the case, events begin to unravel which will force him to confront demons that will steer him on the path of redemption.
