In early Fall of 1955, two children, Esther 'Essie' Harris and Luke Harris, stumble upon a message in a bottle buried in the sand of their usual beach spot. The vintage bottle contains a map that looks as if a kid drew it. Essie determined to find the treasure drags her brother along for ride... only to get lost and have the map ripped into pieces. The map leads them to an old cigar box that contains Indian pennies, a sling shot, and a vintage necklace. The last item that sticks out to them most is a kid that is dressed up in front of an old farm house that is right around where they live. They travel to his house to find out how they can become a part of his pirate crew. The real adventure though lies in the hidden mystery of who Sonny really is and what the treasures true meaning is.
