Soo Min is a twenty-one year old Korean caught within a personal prison of disorder after her sister, Hae Jin, commits suicide. The relationship with her mother is tarnished as they struggle to communicate openly with one another. Soo Min escapes to Melbourne, living with her home-stay, Cooper, a forty-one year old writer. Now alienated and grieving, Soo Min falls into a deep depression whilst her mother is plagued by loneliness. Cooper, Soo Min and her mother each deal with self-destruction in one way or another and the consequences are looming.
