Set in France during World War 2, Lieutenant Harold Evans takes refuge in a barn during the shelling of the nearby countryside. Sorely wounded he passes out. Upon waking he discovers a Nazi, Captain Friedrich Ascher taking cover in the barn. What follows is a discourse between the two. Can two soldiers from opposite sides share any similarity?
