6th Street Blues

6th Street Blues is about an unlikely friendship between two people brought together by their love for the Blues. Rag is a black blues man in his late sixties. He is a local legend who is content to remain in Austin playing traditional blues away from the limelight. Kim is a 27 year old white, female country guitar player from Montana hoping to make it big in Austin. One night, as Kim walks past a dingy blues bar, she hears Rag playing some slow Delta Blues. The music stirs deep memories and strong emotions in her and she asks Rag to teach her to play the blues. Rag says he is happy to be her friend, but refuses to teach her to play. This is a story of their journey through personal and emotional hardships. It tells how their evolving friendship helps them to move on and realize their dreams.
