We follow one raid, at a time when any raid could be their last. Bill McCrea is a young, Irish Pilot risking his life to fight for right, in Bomber Command. He and his crew have already been on several bombing raids to Germany but it doesn't get any easier as time goes on. In this time of destruction and war, each trip brings a new sense of fear to the young crew but they can't let their emotions get in the way of their mission. One man's mistake could cost the lives of the rest of his crew and even the lives of other allies. After being attacked by an enemy fighter can Bill bring his crew home to safety or will they plummet into the fiery depths below.
